Production drive-by-wire

Over the past decade, Hexagon | AutonomouStuff has built over 500 R&D-grade drive-by-wire platform vehicles worldwide. Leveraging that expertise, AutonomouStuff designs, builds and deploys production-grade drive-by-wire onto off-road autonomous vehicles.  

Drive-by-wire describes the automation behind machine control of a vehicle’s engine, steering, acceleration and brakes. There are onboard redundancy systems for steering, braking and power that reinforce safety throughout the vehicle. With a robust testing scheme including failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), fault tree analysis and traceability from concept through validation, we put safety at the core of enabling autonomy.
