Automotive RADAR

Automotive RADAR is cost effective object-detection system that uses electromagnetic waves, specifically radio waves, to identify the range, altitude, direction, or speed of both moving and fixed objects.  The radar sensor transmits pulses of radio waves or microwaves which bounce off any object in their path. The object returns a tiny part of the wave's energy to the antenna which is usually located at the same site as the transmitter.
  
Detection and tracking algorithms are typically included in a one-box design, some manufacturers allow room for vehicle/customer/application specific code in our radar systems.
